"Linear" coupling correction for MR |
Linear
coupling correction by using four independent families of the skew-quadrupole magnets is analyzed for the Main Ring of the
JAERI-KEK Joint Project. Limitations of the maximum acceptable beam emittance at the injection energy, which can survive in
the scraper aperture for different values of the betatron
tunes, are simulated. Non-linear fringe field of the MR magnets and the sextupole field nonlinearity are included into the
analysis. Systematic field errors of the MR magnets are not considered. |

Dynamic aperture study for RCS: influence of the
structure and skew-Q |
Analysis
of the dynamic aperture of RCS and the beam survival in the collimator is
performed. The magnetic field non-linearities (the
fringe fields of the ring magnets and the non-linear field of the sextupole magnets for the chromaticity correction) are
included in the consideration. The misalignment errors are involved in the
simulations to excite the skew-Quadrupole and skew-Sextupole resonances. To avoid the limitation of the
survived beam emittance at the injection energy the
working point should be chosen close to Qx=6.27, Qz=6.67. Systematic magnetic field nonlinearities are not
included in this study. |
